Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model from 11 November 1996. She made her film debut as a Bond actress with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was approached by an experienced photographer. The result was a successful professional career as a model for commercials. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. The rule was extended to the acting profession. When she was spotted by the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond movie, she took a part of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. At just 18 as she played the role Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a performance by Doody, playing IRA Siobhan. Doody was unspoken as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version to The Secret Garden. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading role. The episode aired in 1988 with Dawn French, John Hurt as well as Jennifer Saunders. She starred alongside Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her most memorable role to date as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. In the film, she also appeared alongside Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors that have played James Bond. Doody appeared in the 1991 British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she was later chosen to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. After almost a decade away from the stage Doody was back in the acting world by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. The year 2004, she starred in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In 2011, she was set to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. She began her first two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on the 21st of November, 2018. In addition, she was awarded one of the stars at the Almeria Walk Of Fame.
